Brisbane Emerges as a Global Luxury Property Market

Brisbane Emerges as a Global Luxury Property Market

Brisbane is entering a new era of global recognition, with the city increasingly attracting the attention of affluent buyers and international capital.

In its 2026 Wealth Report, Knight Frank identified Brisbane alongside global cities including Miami, Mumbai and Abu Dhabi as an emerging luxury property hotspot, reflecting the growing international profile of Queensland’s capital.

The shift is already evident at the top end of Brisbane’s residential market. Knight Frank recorded a 2.1 per cent increase in prime residential prices during 2025, while the city’s most exclusive apartments have moved beyond a historical price ceiling of approximately US$6 million to more than US$10 million in just 12 months.

At the super-prime end of the market, values are now exceeding US$32,000 per square metre — signalling a significant evolution in both the calibre of Brisbane’s luxury residences and the buyers they are attracting.

Brisbane’s Transformation Towards 2032

Brisbane’s evolution is being supported by significant investment in infrastructure and the momentum surrounding the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Major transport, entertainment and public-realm projects are reshaping how people move through and experience the city, while strengthening Brisbane’s connectivity and international profile.

This transformation is also influencing the residential landscape. A new generation of premium developments is emerging, characterised by considered architecture, sophisticated interiors, exceptional amenity and highly sought-after locations.

For Pikos, this evolution reinforces a long-held belief in Brisbane and the opportunity to create enduring residential developments in locations that offer both exceptional lifestyle and long-term value.

Queensland’s Luxury Property Market Continues to Grow

The momentum extends beyond Brisbane.

Knight Frank recorded a 2.8 per cent increase in Gold Coast prime residential prices during 2025, while transactions above US$15 million are becoming increasingly prevalent across Queensland’s prestige residential market.

Australia’s expanding wealth base is also contributing to this demand. Knight Frank forecasts significant growth in the number of ultra-high-net-worth individuals in Australia over the coming years, creating an increasingly sophisticated audience for premium residential property.

A New Era for Luxury Living in Brisbane

Brisbane’s appeal lies in the convergence of lifestyle, climate, infrastructure, connectivity and an increasingly sophisticated luxury residential offering.

Long recognised for its subtropical lifestyle, Queensland’s capital is now attracting attention for something more — its evolution into an internationally recognised destination for premium property and exceptional residential living.

Through developments such as Skye and Gaia in Kangaroo Point, Pikos continues to invest in this next chapter of Brisbane, creating residences that respond to the city’s evolving lifestyle, growing global profile and future.
